HDMI-CEC

There are only two ways the truDigital devices can get the red light or go to sleep: either they receive a signal from the remote control, or they receive a signal from HDMI-CEC from your television.

Different manufacturers have different names for the function, but you'll want to turn it OFF on any TV you have these connected to. It's supposed to turn things on/off that are connected to HDMI, but it doesn't always work well with our devices. Here are the names of the function for some of the most popular manufacturers:

AOC: E-link
Hitachi: HDMI-CEC
LG: SimpLink or SIMPLINK (HDMI-CEC)
Mitsubishi: NetCommand for HDMI
Onkyo: RIHD (Remote Interactive over HDMI)
Panasonic: HDAVI Control, EZ-Sync, or VIERA Link
Philips: EasyLink
Pioneer: Kuro Link
Runco International: RuncoLink
Samsung: Anynet+
Sharp: Aquos Link
Sony: BRAVIA Sync
Toshiba: CE-Link or Regza Link
Vizio: CEC

In most cases, you can find the setting on your television's menu under either the 'General' or 'System' category. Please see the manual for your television for more specifics.

NOTE: If you have a Roku TV, you may encounter an issue which causes the player to go into sleep mode (red power light) when you turn on your TV. If you experience this, please contact us at 801-852-9898, Option 2 for Support. We will need to adjust a setting on the TV and a setting on the player in order to resolve the issue.
