Tutorial: Infotainment

Keep your audiences engaged with a wide variety of infotainment templates to enhance your digital signage program. 

Categories include Weather, Trivia, Travel, Technology, Sustainability, Nature, Motivational, Medical, Health, Food, Entertainment, Earth, Dental, and Art. 

Infotainment is included (by request) with any gold level plan. It can also be added to any bronze or silver level plan.

Once you have confirmed with your sales rep that the Infotainment content has been added to your account, follow the steps below:

Starting from your truDigital Dashboard:

Step 1. Click on "Manage Playlist"

Step 2. Click on "Edit Playlist" for the playlist you want to edit

Step 3. Now select "Template Library" 

Step 4. Search for the Infotainment template, once you find it, select it and click "Install"

Once the template installs, you should be brought back to your "My Templates" page

Step 5. Now under "My Templates" find the Infotainment template and select "Edit"

Step 6. Click on "Edit Template"

Step 7.  Select anywhere on the screen where it says “The Slideshow is disabled in edit mode. Click this block to make changes”

Step 8. Now you will see the Infotainment content, select your playlists screen orientation of either Vertical or Horizontal

If you don't see the media library (#1) as td-infotainment then you may need to use the drop down to select it

Step 9. Now you should see the each category for Infotainment, click on the category you want to display -  (Select "Static" if you are given the choice, to use the "Motion" option, see the article Tutorial: Infotainment Motion)

Step 10. Now from that category, click and drag the Infotainment content you want to display

Step 11. Once you have added the Infotainment facts/images that you want to use, select "Save"

Step 12. Now click "Save Changes" in the top left and then confirm once more by clicking "Save Changes"

Step 13. Select "Back"

Now the Infotainment Template is ready to be used in your Live Playlist. Follow steps below to add into your display--

Step 14. Select "Edit" under "Live Playlist"

Step 15. Click and Drag the Infotainment template from your My Templates over to your "Live Playlist"

Step 16. Select "Save" now that you see the Infotainment template below your Live Playlist

Infotainment is now within your Live Playlist, please give your player 10-15 minutes to automatically download the update.
